Effective Home Remedies to Get Rid Of Black Knees, Elbow and Underarms
It is very embarrassing to have black knees, elbows and underarms. It can happen to any person whether his/her complexion is fair or dark. This is often due to the accumulation of dead and thick skin that causes the skin to turn black. Too much sun exposure can also cause darkness in the skin. Too much dryness can also turn them black because oil glands are not present in these areas. You can easily get rid of them by following these home remedies.
1) Lemon:
Rub lime or lemon or lemon juice on the black areas of knees, elbows and underarms. Leave for 15-20 minutes. Soak a towel in a hot water and rub it on the affected areas.
2) Baking Soda:
Mix one tbsp. of baking soda in some milk. Apply this paste on knees, elbows and underarms and rub it in circular motion. Repeat this remedy after every one or two day and you will surely notice some change in the colour.
3) Milk, Honey and Turmeric:
Mix some turmeric with milk and honey. Apply this smooth paste on dark areas and leave for 20 minutes. Rub it for 2 minutes with wet hands and then wash it off. Turmeric acts as antiseptic, honey as moisturizer and milk as bleach.
4) Fruits:
Lemon, tomato, grapes are fruits having bleaching property and they are very helpful to get rid of dark skin when used properly. You can apply the juice of any bleaching fruit regularly or apply different fruits on different days.
5) Yoghurt and Vinegar:
Make a mixture of yoghurt and vinegar. Apply it on affected areas and allow it to dry. Then rub the area in circular motion for 2-3 minutes and wash. These two ingredients moisturize and cleanse the skin and when use together, they reduce the black colour of the skin.
6) Hydrogen Peroxide:
Dip a cotton ball in hydrogen peroxide (around 3.5%) and apply it on dark areas. Repeat it two times a day. It has an excellent bleaching property and cure discoloration.
7) Potato:
Potato has a natural bleaching agent. Scrub the dark areas with a thin slice of potato or make juice out of potato and apply on those areas. Rinse with lukewarm water after drying.
8) Sugar Scrub:
Add olive oil and sugar together until you reach a slushy consistency. Scrub the darkened areas with this mixture. This will remove your dead skin, soften the areas and remove the dirt if present.
9) Olive Oil, Turmeric and Sugar:
Mix ½ teaspoon turmeric in 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon sugar. Apply this paste on darkened areas for 20 minutes and rinse off.
10) Coconut Oil:
A combination of lime juice and coconut oil works best for getting rid of dark and patchy areas of skin. Mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of lime juice, apply it on dark areas and scrub with a towel soaked in hot water.

• Take a cup of rice powder; add enough milk and rosewater to make a thick paste. Apply on neck. Leave for 20-30 minutes, when it cracks up rinse and wash off. The skin will appear very taut and the wrinkles seem to have straightened out or wrinkles and lines disappeared altogether.
• You can also use glycerin and egg as an anti-wrinkle lotion, especially well for wrinkles on the neck. Take the white of an egg in a bowl and add to it 2 tablespoons of glycerin and 2 tablespoons of rose water. Stir well and then apply this lotion on the wrinkled skin as well as on the neck. Leave it on for 10-12 minutes and rinse off with cold water.
• To reduce fine lines and wrinkles you can give sandalwood a try: Add a few drops of water to half a tablespoon of sandalwood powder. Apply the paste on the neck. Let dry. Wash with tepid water. This reduces wrinkles and fine lines.
• You can make sugarcane mask by adding (1-2 tablespoon) juice of sugar cane and (2-3 teaspoon) turmeric powder, (which is the most effective herb, used in every kitchen) and keep it aside for five minutes. Gently apply on aging lines (wrinkles) on your neck and let it dry for 10-15 minutes, then wash using clean water.
• Apply banana mask to get rid of wrinkles on the neck. Banana mask is more effective than any neck wrinkle cream. To make it, take one fully ripe banana, 2 teaspoon of flaxseed oil and 4-5 drops of rose water. Mash the banana nicely in a bowl.
• Lemon juice also works for reducing fine lines under eyes, neck and hands. This is also very effective in minimizing the wrinkles and cleaning the skin surface.
• For the area under the chin and the neck, lightly pinch and rub the skin between your thumb and forefingers. When you’re finished, your face should have good color and feel invigorated.
• Massage your neck using oils of flax seeds as it is very effective in getting rid of wrinkle. Rubbing wrinkles on neck with coconut oil before sleep increases blood circulation and promotes relaxation to the skin.

Peshaweri Chapli Kabab
Ingredients
- Mince ½ kg
- Butter 2 ounce
- Red pepper 1 tbsp (crushed)
- Coriander seeds 1 tbsp (crushed)
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
- Pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp (crushed)
- Wheat flour 3 tbsp
- Eggs 2
- Spring onion 2 (chopped)
- Tomato 1 (sliced)
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp (chopped)
- Green chilies 4 (chopped)
- Salt 1½ tsp
- Clarified butter for frying
Cooking Directions
- In a bowl mix together mince, butter, red pepper, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pomegranate seeds, wheat flour, eggs, spring onion, coriander leaves, green chilies, salt and mix well.
- Keep aside for 1 hour.
- Shape into big kababs.
- Shallow fry in clarified butter and fix 1 slice of tomato onto each kabab before frying.
- Fry till light golden in color
- The delicious chapli kebabs are ready to serve.
Chapli Kabab
Ingredients
- Beef mince ½ kg
- Gram flour 3 tbsp
- Coriander seeds 2 tbsp (crushed)
- Pomegranate seeds 2 tbsp
- Red pepper 2 tbsp (crushed)
- Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
- All spice powder 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Tomatoes 2
- Onion 2
- Green chilies 5
- Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
- Egg 1
- White butter 2 tbsp
- Oil ½ liter
Cooking Directions
- In a bowl mix together mince, gram flour, crushed coriander, pomegranate seeds, crushed red pepper, turmeric powder, all spice powder and salt.
- Finely chop tomatoes, onion, green chilies and coriander leaves.
- Add vegetables in the mince mixture.
- Then add egg and butter. Mix very well.
- Form large patties with the mince mixture.
- Then fry in a large griddle until golden brown.
